Juanitas was nominated for Best New Thing in the About.com Readers Choice Awards I guess it counts as new.  They opened a new location in 2011, moving from their home of 25 years.  I hadnt been to Juanitas since they moved, so I thought I would check out the food.  The restaurant is downstairs from the music venue.  I found out that the location may be new, but the food is the same good stuff Little Rock diners have come to know and enjoy.

Juanitas is well known for their cheese dip, and it tastes the same as always in their new location.  I got the classic yellow, but they also have a white cheese dip.  I think Juanitas food is a little under-rated.  We always hear about Juanitas music, but I hardly hear anyone praise their food.  They have a pretty nice selection of traditional Tex-Mex.  Everything from the plato satillo to many enchilada platters and fajitas.  For Arkansas, its pretty good Tex-Mex.  Click the more link for more photos.
